I suffered from Restless Leg Syndrome during the time I was dealing with insomnia. What I want to accomplish in this article is to give understanding to why those with this disease have it and how to get free.
What is Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a condition in which your legs feel extremely uncomfortable while trying to sleep or sitting. It makes you feel like getting up and moving around or moving your legs constantly never feeling comfortable. When you do so, the unpleasant feeling of restless legs syndrome temporarily goes away. Symptoms of restless leg syndrome are worse during rest or inactivity
What Age Does It Start!
Restless legs syndrome can begin at any age and generally worsens as you get older. Women are more likely than men to develop this condition. Restless legs syndrome can disrupt sleep — leading to daytime drowsiness — and make traveling difficult.
I probably had it all my life and didn’t know it. For me to go to sleep, I would my my feet back and forth and my relatives hated sleeping with me.
Pathology
Recent investigations have shown an increased severity of Restless Leg Syndrome when there is a decreased serotonin level transporter in the brainstem increasing serotonin transmission in the brain may exacerbate Restless Leg Syndrome. Restless Leg Syndrome also has a genetic component and tends to run to in families. It also seems that cells in a portion of the mid-brain are not getting enough iron. The missing iron may cause a misfiring of neural signals to the legs causing the creepy-crawly sensation.
Possible Causes of Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)
People who suffer from restless leg syndrome often have other psychiatric symptoms, including depression and anxiety.
The probable cause could be extreme verbal, physical or sexual trauma. The child’s only source of comfort with the family was lacking greatly thus the family fails to meet the child’s emotional needs, it is an insidious betrayal so profound that a child’s sense of trust is compromised.
Another cause could be bad circulation in the legs due to injury or other issues causing the restless leg syndrome.
Stress is the biggest issue for so many people today such as myself as well as mental fatigue can affect brain function and the way it sends signals to the rest of the body. By reducing or eliminating stress the symptoms of restless leg syndrome can be reduced. Read further down and learn what is stress.
Is There A cure
No, not really in the medical real but there is hope when dealing with spiritual roots of disease.
Most doctors will medicate with medication to help matters but it really does not work very well or for very long. Do you really want to be on medication or suppliments or wouldn’t you like not have to take anything and be free. I know I got free.
Healing is Possible
Did you know that 80% of disease has a spiritual root issue? Well, Restless Leg Syndrome is one of those that has a spiritual root.
As I said earlier trauma can be the cause. What happens when a person has suffered from trauma? A Spirits of fear (as in stress and anxiety) enters into their being. Spirit of fear is demonic in nature causing a person not to be able to relax. That person could be geared for flight to fight.
If genetic, then members of the family had issues with stress, anxiety or were big worriers. Maybe there was a lot of financial stress or anything else. Maybe patterns of trauma happening over and over throughout the generations opening the door to fear.
How about fear of failure and fear of doing things wrong! Also, many times a spirit of occultism is involved manifesting as oppression and heaviness working together with fear.
All these can be dealt with in the spiritual level. Remember God made us with a body, soul and spirit. We are spirit beings and God is a spirit and the invisible fallen world is a spirit being wanting to cohabitate with you to manifest its nature in you but has to have an open door and trauma is the open door.

There is a Better Way to Deal With Acid Reflux besides Medication
Symptoms of Acid Reflux (Gerd)
Heartburn – Acid Reflux is a burning sensation that radiates up from the stomach to the chest and throat. Heartburn is most likely to occur in connection with the following activities:
After a heavy meal.
Bending over.
Lifting.
Lying down, particularly on the back.
Many times the symptoms of Acid Reflux are more likely or worse at night occurs when trying to sleep. You will experience a burning sensation in your throat, chest or stomach.
Doctors will tell you to not eat late at night or avoid spicy food. Some people that does not help. After trying these techniques and symptoms do not approve, then the doctor will subscribe medication to help aleviate the symptoms.
Acid Reflux occurs when the tube that you uses to intake the food from the throat to stomach is not strong enough to handle the acid.
Does anyone want to become dependent on medications? I hope not. Did you know there is a cause and effect and also spiritual root issue causing acid reflux?
The number one cause for acid reflux is a spirit of fear known as stress, worry and anxiety. Maybe you are projecting fear in the future such as how am I going to get these bills paid off, etc. A spirit of fear is a lack of faith in God and deals with doubt and belief that God is truly with them. The Lord knew fear would be our enemy and said ”Fear Not” 365 times in scripture.
However, sometimes we are afraid, sometimes this “spirit of fear” overcomes us, and to overcome it we need to trust in and love God completely. “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18). No one is perfect, and God knows this. That is why He has liberally sprinkled encouragement against fear throughout the Bible. Beginning in the book of Genesis and continuing throughout the book of Revelation, God reminds us to “Fear not.”
For example, Isaiah 41:10 encourages us, “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Often we fear the future and what will become of us. But Jesus reminds us that God cares for the birds of the air, so how much more will He provide for His children? “So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:31). Just these few verses cover many different types of fear. God tells us not to be afraid of being alone, of being too weak, of not being heard, and of lacking physical necessities. These admonishments continue throughout the Bible, covering the many different aspects of the “spirit of fear.”
When a person deals with a spirit of fear, their symptoms go away.

This is an excellent book to read especially if you suffer from MCS/EI (multiple chemical sensitivity). This gives you hope and gives understanding to receive healing and how to receive healing when there is no cure for this disease.
Disease is a curse that comes from sin – either personal and/or generational inherited inequities (Rom. 5:12). In fact, 80 percent of disease is a result of sin = separation on three levels. In Mark 12:29-31 it says:
“29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
The three levels of separation are as follows:
1) failure to love God with all our heart, soul and mind and strength results in a separation from God and His Word.
2) Failure to love ourselves results in a separation from ourselves.
3) Failure to love others results in a separation from others.
The Lord said in Deut. 30:19 to either choose life or death (blessings or curses).
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: ”
Blessing comes from obedience and curses comes from disobedience to God’s Word. The iniquities of the Father visited upon the third and forth generations (Exodus 20:5). That means the sins your fathers that they did not repent, effect you and your children! Have you noticed the same diseases your grandfather and father had going down the generations? Why do you think the doctors want to know the diseases of your parents?
What is it truly saying. In Deut. 28:1-14 if you obey, you will be blessed in everything you do.
Deut. 28:1-2 says “1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:” That means when I obey the Word of God or be a doer of the Word, I choose life! Read all the blessings you receive in Deut. 28:3-14.
In Deut. 28:15 it says a curse comes from disobedience, “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: This is what is meant to choose death.” Read all the curses in Deut. 28:16-64.
If you choose death, then a curse can come on you in physical disease, mental torment, emotional torment, spiritual torment, relational separation and financial issues (Mind, Spirit and Body). Paul said in 1 Thess. 5:23 “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Even though Christ paid the penalty for our sins and the sins of the world on the cross (1 Peter 2:21), we must appropriate the blessings by knowing His word and applying it to our lives daily. Jesus said in John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” This applies right back to the scripture in Mark 12:29-31 to love God with all your heart, mind and soul.
In Proverbs 26:2 “As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.” If we are obedient, then the curse cannot come on us. Disobedience separates us and brings a curse (mind, body and spirit).
The Lord’s will for all of us is to bless us and not put any disease upon us (Deut. 7:12-15),
12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
14 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.
15 And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
What is it saying? It is saying it is the Lord’s willthat we do not become diseased. Disease does not come from God, when we are disobedient, then Satan is the executor of the law on your life and sin brings separation and separation = disease.
If we do become diseased mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, relationally or financially, (mind, body or spirit), what can I do? Healing comes through confession of sin, repentance, sanctification, prayer and ministry. The question is, what do I need to repent from? What is the open door? Journey2Wholeness teaching is geared to bring truth so that the truth will set you free!. Hosea 4:6 says we perish from lack of knowledge. For example: Did you know that fear is sin? Why, because fear is the opposite of faith. Did you know that 60 to 80% of diseases are rooted in fear?
If you are sick in body, mind or spirit, then come and learn how to be restored. It is never God’s will for you to become dis-eased. It is His will for your life to be blessed abundantly in all areas of your life. He sent His son so that we can be restored back to Him! He made a way since he knew we would fall short (Romans 3:23), so when we do fall short, we can come to the Father, in repentance of sin, to be restored back to Him and live abundantly. Come and learn where the door might have been opened to bring disease (a curse) in your life (physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, relationally and financially)!
This is an excellent book to read especially if you suffer from MCS/EI (multiple chemical sensitivity). This gives you hope and gives understanding to receive healing and how to receive healing when there is no cure for this disease.
The Bible teaches that Satan and demons are the source of sin and disease. That is, they propagate sin and disease and control the law of sin and death in the human race (Mt. 4:23-24; 10:1-7; Lk. 10:1-20; 13:16; Jn. 10:10; Acts 10:38; Rom. 7:7-25; 8:1-4; 1 Jn. 3:8; Heb. 2:14-15). The Bible also teaches that God sent Jesus into the world to save men from all sin (Mt. 1:21; Eph. 1:7; 1 Jn. 1:7-9; Rev. 1:5); to heal men of all diseases and to deliver from demons (Mt. 8:16-17; Acts 10:38; 1 Pet. 2:24; 1 Jn. 3:8); and to answer all prayers for anything that one desires that is covered by the promises of God (Mt. 7:7-11; 18:19-20; 17:20; 21:21-22; Mk. 11:22-24; Jn. 14:12-15 15:7; 16:23-26).
Sources of Relief from Diseases
Satan and Demons who cause the disease can also remove them under certain circumstances. They will hold men in defeat and sickness as long as possible. God alone can deliver from their power, unless they relinquish their hold on men of their own accord. Jesus taught us in Mt. 12:43-45 that demons can leave a person and then come back again if they desire. The fact that they go out when rebuked by those who have power over them proves that they can loose any person they bind (Mt. 12:22-32; Lk. 10:18-20; Acts 19:11-17). It stands to reason that if they can put diseases upon men, they can also take them off when it is to their advantage. By deceiption through false doctrines to accept false religions or that we can sin because of the wrong interpretation of the word grace.
Men are sick, unhappy, and defeated in life, simply because they have been taught wrongly and because they do not surrender their lives to God and understand how to pray and get an answer. These conditions in the human family are not God s will. If all men would conform to God s will we could banish want, poverty, sickness, sin, and all the curse. God’s desire is to bless us according to Deut. 28:1-15.
I hope through all the lessons we taught, you are able to identify why some of you are not being blessed (physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially and relationally).
If you are sick in body, then include your request for healing in your prayer for forgiveness. First, you need to know God’s Word to know what area you are sinning in your life. God wants to heal your body, and He will if you ask Him in faith when you ask for forgiveness. Both healing and forgiveness go together in the gospel, as you can see by reading Ps. 103:1-3; Mt. 8:16-17; 9:1-8; 13:15; Jas. 5:14-16; 1 Pet. 2:24.
You can get healed as easily as you can be forgiven of sins. Both come on the same basis of faith in the work of Christ for you on Calvary. Ask and then believe that you are healed and forgiven, and God will do both. He does not desire His children to be sick any more than you would want your children to be sick. This is clear from Mt. 7:7-11, Mk. 11:22-24; Jn. 14:12-15; 15:7, 16; 16:23-26. Your life will be rich in blessings which you perhaps have been taught are not for you today. You are getting new light, so walk in it and all things will be yours (1 Jn. 1:7; 1 Cor. 3:21-23).
Jesus said, “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (Jn. 8:31-36).
This is an excellent book to read especially if you suffer from MCS/EI (multiple chemical sensitivity). This gives you hope and gives understanding to receive healing and how to receive healing when there is no cure for this disease.
According to Medical Science Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), Environmental Illness, and Gulf War Syndrome are the result of the mass production of chemicals in our environment. The individual’s immune system is broken down after either a single massive exposure to one or more toxic substances or repeated exposures to low doses. After the damage to the immune system is done, the individual often becomes hypersensitive to more and more chemicals,
MCS can have a variety of symptoms:
There is no cure for MCS and the very few treatments offered for the patient most of the time only bring very little relief.
• avoidance of all chemicals and foods that provoke a reaction,
• preservative-free allergy shots,
• detoxification of the body,
• food rotation diet
Unfortunately, this disease, which is really a syndrome, only brings the patient into isolation from other people living in fear of exposure of chemicals such as perfumes, smoke, etc. Many individuals with MCS are advised to relocate to a remote environment with very little hope.
Many go into major debt trying all types of new age modalities such as all types of vitamines to detoxify the body, special food rotation diet to eastern mystism because of the hopelessness.
The Bible teaches that man is mind, body and spirit. Diseases are the result of dis-ease in our life. When we are out of alignment with God’s truth, disease is often the result. The Bible has taught for thousands of years that when we harbor anger, bitterness, resentment, fear, anxiety, etc. disease is the result. Medical doctors can only treat symptoms, often by using medications with horrible side effects.
MCS is also a spiritual disease. Most diseases have a spiritual root that manifests itself in physical symptoms. MCS is no different. When emotional and spiritual roots that cause diseases are addressed, the body is then able to start functioning as God designed it to work. The result is healing. You meet the conditions and he meets you.
The Bible says, “A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones. Proverbs 17:22.
Our immune system is formed in our bone marrow, which is located in the center of our bones. When our bones are dry, our immune system is severally jeopardized. It can’t do what it was designed to do. A malfunctioning immune system results in disease.
People with MCS have a malfunctioning immune system. They are sensitive to many things. Though doctors will tell the patient their immune system was damaged by chemicals, the truth is their immune system was already damaged long before they were ever exposed to the chemicals that supposedly made them sick. Their immune system was compromised causing their body to hold toxins instead of releasing them because of stress.
People with MCS and many other diseases have a malfunctioning immune system because they have a broken spirit. Somehow, someone or many people wounded them emotionally and spiritually, breaking their spirit.
The God of the Bible wants to heal your broken spirit. The God of the Bible wants to heal you of Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and other chronic diseases. There is hope for people with MCS.
The Lord “Who forgives all your iniquities (sins), Who heals all your diseases” (Psalm 103:3)
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (III John, verse 2)
This is an excellent book to read especially if you suffer from MCS/EI (multiple chemical sensitivity). This gives you hope and gives understanding to receive healing and how to receive healing when there is no cure for this disease.
When God created human beings, He knew there would be times when we would meet danger and our bodies would need to react quickly so we could get to safety. God gave each person a hypothalamus gland. The hypothalamus is located in the brain. It’s primary purpose is maintaining homeostasis; in other words, it maintains an internal stability. It is incredibly sensitive to the psychological and spiritual state of your body. When you are at peace walking down a nature trail, the hypothalamus senses that peace, but the second you turn around the bend and come face to face with a grizzly bear, the hypothalamus senses the fear and goes into action.
The hypothalamus has the job of transferring thought into chemistry. It does this by secreting the hormone, CRF, which causes a chain reaction of over 20 other hormones, and neurotransmitters to be released throughout the body. For instance, when a person feels stress, anxiety, worry or fear, the hypothalamus senses it and releases CRF.
These hormones alone effect just about every organ system of the body, for instance they cause your heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar, blood fats, cholesterol in your blood and your metabolic rate to increase. At the same time muscular fatigue is delayed, blood supply to the bladder and intestines is reduced and their muscular walls relax as well as your digestive juice output, carbohydrate production, breakdown of cholesterol, and insulin production all decrease. While epinephrine and norepinephrine are busy effecting the body, another gland, the Adrenal cortex, releases the hormone Cortisol (also known as hydrocortisone). Cortisol effects many areas of the body, such as the liver, digestive system, muscles, skin and bones, protein production, heart, blood levels of amino acids and it suppresses the immune system.
Imagine dozens of hormones and neurotransmitters all being released into the body and affecting every part of the body in different ways every time your hypothalamus senses you are afraid, worried or stressed or anxious about life issues.
Our immune system is formed in our bone marrow, which is located in the center of our bones. When our bones are dry, our immune system is severally jeopardized. It can’t do what it was designed to do. A malfunctioning immune system results in disease.
The Bible says, “A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones. Proverbs 17:22.
What is a broken spirit? A broken spirit is when someone betrayes you, hurts you either physically, spiritually or emotionally – when there is a separation in a relationship – fear comes in. It can also be from a great loss of a loved one dying suddenly. When life events happen, it can be traumatic and opens the door for a spirit of fear. Every negative thought you have effects every cell in your body either positive or negative. Negative thought, negative chemicals are released, positive thoughts, positive chemicals released. If you have bitterness, you are literally poisoning every cell in your body. Bitterness is like gall. That is why it is said 2 Corinthians 10:5 to cast down every vain imagination….
When the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) receives the CRF, it releases a hormone called norepinephrine and at the same time it stimulates a gland called the Adrenal Medulla to release epinephrine (adrenaline).
If what you are afraid of is a charging grizzly bear, these reactions are beneficial as you frantically climb the nearest tree. If on the other hand, you are constantly stressed, frequently anxious, and have a lot of fear, this biological process never stops, homeostasis never returns and the process can become fatal.
The Flight or Fight Stage is immediate, allowing us the needed energy to climb that tree. But when the fear is within, we soon enter the Resistance Stage— long term our bodies are geared up for stress (fear and anxiety). When fear, stress and axniety continues very long, diseases start to develop that include:
constant colds and cold sores,
anxiety attacks or panic attacks,
unexplained rashes,
coronary artery disease,
high blood pressure,
stroke,
irregular heartbeat,
backache,
tension headaches,
rheumatoid arthritis,
immunosuppression or deficiency,
an autoimmune disease,
an inflammatory disease,
ulcer,
irritable bowel syndrome,
diarrhea,
nausea and vomiting,
ulcerative colitis (inflammation and an ulcer of the colon and rectum),
diuresis (kidneys produce to much urine),
eczema, neurodermatitis (skin disease),
acne,
diabetes, amenorrhea (periods stop),
fatigue and lethargy,
overeating,
depression,
insomnia,
asthma, hay fever, and
allergies.
How does fear lead to allergy? When an antigen enters the human body, a macrophage (a scavenger cell that eats bacteria and other foreign objects) picks it up and delivers it to a T cell (type of white blood cell). The T cell simultaneously produces and releases interleukin-1, a protein substance that effects other cells in the immune system, in this case it activates a subset of Helper T cells. These Helper T cells secretes interluekin-2, which stimulates the proliferation of still more T cells. These T cells can either activate or suppress B cells, whose job is to make antibodies. Cortisol, one of the hormones released in response to fear, inhibits the production of both interleukin 1 and 2 and macrophages, thus decreasing the ability of T cells to suppress the B cells from making antibodies to the antigen. In other words, when you are afraid, cortisol is released in large amounts. If fear and anxiety are a normal part of your life, elevated levels of cortisol begin to wreck havoc with your immune system preventing it from properly functioning. T cells diminish in number and those that are present just don’t work as well, allowing the B cells to start attacking every foreign substance that enters the body. When this happens the person develops allergies.
Do you think vitamines are really going to help or do you need to deal with the spiritual root issue? The God of the Bible wants to heal your broken spirit. Failing to Take Action to Solve Long Standing Life Conflicts.
In the world of cancer in our society, it is the number two (2) killer in the United States. More often than not, the cancer “victim” has a pattern of long standing life problems that have been “eating them up inside”.
Their inability or unwillingness to effectively deal with these problems is what created the cancers. Often, cancer is the manifestation of the person’s conflicting desires to escape the situation and to “keep things as they are” because change would be too painful. These people might be the type who stuff their emotions, live with guilt – not letting themselves loose from past issues or failures, to unresolved conflict in relationships such as broken relationships with God, Self or others; both destroy the anti-unconogens and when two (2) are not present in all cells, it results in cancer.
So what’s going on inside of you? There’s an old saying that goes, “it eats at you like a cancer”. When you start to meditate on hatred against an individual who has wronged you, as you start to focus on that with resentment, anger, hatred, retaliation, bitterness and unforgiveness. Long term, your body is a chemical manufacturing toxins out of bitterness and anger. The bible says bitterness is like a gall; gall is like a poison that poisons and even changes the DNA code. How does this occur, one it creates a volume of toxins and destroy antioncogenes, cell is compromised and you have cancer, just like that! Helplessness and hopelessness breeds cancer.
What is the solution!
Cancer cells develop in each of us all day long, but a peaceful heart and mind kills the cells! Peace with others/self/God so peace of Mind is the antidote to cancers.
If you are one of those having trouble with unforgiveness towards God, self or others and need help, check us out. We can help you to become free from past issues. Visit us at http://www.journey2wholeness.org for solutions.
Millions of Americans suffer from clinical or manic depressive disorders. Did you know there is a way of escape without drugs?
Did you know despair, guilt, shame, not loving for who you are (self-hatred, self-rejection) causes depression? Losses of someone you love, loss of job or big changes such as moves away from personal support, can also bring on depression.
I want to address those who have a hard time accepting self manifesting as shame, guilt or self-hatred, self-rejection.
In fact many Christians have depression as much as the world. Did you know it says in Matthew 22:37-39 to Love God with all your heart, soul and mind and love others as yourself? We are commanded to love ourselves!
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
What is the problem? What happens when you live with self accusation; not able to forgive yourself from the things in the past. Usually they turn against yourself (self hatred) – which can be not liking your body, not liking who you are or not liking your personality. Those with self-hatred manifest in self-sabotage jobs, relationships, etc.
The enemy wants to kill, steal and destroy you. Jesus warns us about Satan…. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” (John 10:10-11)
If he can get you stuck in negative thoughts about self – your failures and past sins, not allowing yourself off the hook, he’s got you. Did you know people who are clinically depressed might spend 90 percent of their time thinking about the one negative and 10 percent of their time thinking about the nine positives. Thinking thinking! As depression deepens, the individual might start to feel that things are hopeless. That is exactly what the enemy wants to take you – hopelessness. but our hope is in Christ.
Where do thoughts come from? Did you know not all your thoughts are your own? Did you know we are spiritual and the enemy is spiritual and he knows your past and he is the accuser! He loves to accuse the saints of God. That is why the word of good is good to put out those fiery darts.
“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Eph. 6:16
How many of you repented for the things in the past but you cannot believe your forgiven? Is God’s Word true or not! Isaiah 43:25
My question to you is, if the Lord sent his son to forgive you of your sins, and when you repent and his word says he no longer remembers, why are you allowing the enemy to accuse you! Remember that is satan’s job to get you to doubt God’s promises. Hang on to God’s promises.
What happens when I live in some of these negative emotions? One, your body lines up to what you believe and the seretonins, dopamine or norepinephrine go down which are neurotransmitters in the brain that carries impulses among all the brain cells. All these chemicals are feel good chemicals but when somoene does not feel good about themselves or cannot get over guilt or shame, the chemicals decrease causing depression. You go to the doctor for depression and the doctor gives you seretonin enhancers called anti depressents which gives a false peace because only God is our real peace. You see, depression causes chemical imbalances in the brain through a complex interplay of body, mind and spirit.
If God is the creator of all life, then you are unique and there is only one of you. Some of you have heard negative words spoken over your lives. You have to choose to believe God’s word over their words. Remember, your father in heaven is your real father and you will be with him for eternity.
This is what God says about you:
God made you, you are His workmanship – you are wonderfully made
Ps 139:13-14 …For you created my inmost being…. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
You are deeply loved
Jer 31:3 The LORD…says: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
You are not rejected
Is 41:9 “…I have chosen you and have not rejected you.”
You are precious in God’s sight
Is 43:4 … you are precious and honored in my sight, and …I love you
You are the ‘apple’ of God’s eye
Zec 2:8 …This is what the LORD Almighty says…whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye
You are God’s friend
John 15:15 “…. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”
You are God’s child
John 1:12-13 To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God– children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
You are God’s delight
Ps 150:4 The LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation.
God is with you and you are His joy
Zep 3:17 The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.
You have a hope and a future
Jer 29:11-13 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
How do I get out of depression?
First, who are you listening to. Is God’s word true or not. Are you going to allow your past failures or what others have said? Who are you going to define you? God’s word or past word curses? Are they really true about you?
In 2 Corinthians 10:5 it says “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” What does this mean? It means anything and I mean anything against the word of God, don’t listen to it, but cast it down.
Second, stop comparing yourself to others. Learn to be content with who you are and stop looking at your temporary you and get to know who you really are, the eternal person you are. Did you know comparing yourself to others is a form of envy and jealousy? Praise God and hold up your head that you represent the creation of God.
Third, forgive yourself. Jesus forgave you, didn’t he? When you gave your life to Christ, didn’t you repent of your sins? If you did, then it is under the blood. If you have failed since then, go to the Lord and confess your sins to him. That is why he was sent so that we can go to him at any time and confess our sins. God knew no man can be perfect and he sent his son for us to have access. Conviction is from the Lord and condemnation is from the devil.
God says in the Bible, “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins” (Isaiah 43:25 Heb. 8:12; 10:17). He chooses never to bring them up again. He doesn’t forget because He cannot. But, He doesn’t remember them either; that is, He will never bring them up again. Why? Because they have been forgiven in His Son Jesus. It is under the blood which covers forever. Don’t listen to the accuser who wants you to keep remembering your past failures and sins.
Remember the Lord your God loves you with an everlasting love. He sent his son to earth not to condemn but bring life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16, 17 Bible KJV)
This should restore your hope back. For now there are faith, hope, and love. But of these three, the greatest is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13
Fourth, if someone abused you, rapped or molested you, it is necessary for you to forgive them.
I know the pain of someone not loving you and abusing you. Your heart is broken, your spirit is crushed and your mind is filled with anger and bitterness. Mercy, and forgiveness are merely words we hardly remember the meaning to.
As long as a person holds onto bitterness, then the memory stays in the mind as torment. We are commanded to forgive. Part of the Lord’s prayer is to forgive others.
Father in heaven may forgive you your sins” (Mark 11:25) when we didn’t deserve it.
So why should you forgive? Remember that Forgiving others is an absolute necessity. In Mat. 6:14-15 Jesus said that if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Think about that. Dwell on all the sins of your past, and how grateful you are that our heavenly father is merciful and forgiving. Jesus commanded us to forgive, and this is why we must do it.
This begins the process of healing is when we can forgive those who hurt, abused or misused.
As you begin to heal, Satan will try with all his principalities to remind you of the hurt thats been put upon you. He will try to restore your bitterness. You must continue to get in line with the word of God and allow the healing power of the cross to invade your thoughts. That means stay out of self-pity by not replaying those thoughts to become one with bitterness again.
Now sometimes bitterness can be a stronghold which makes it hard to forgive. Then, if that is the case, a person needs deliverance and ministry to heal the broken heart.
Fifth, is learning to be grateful for what you have. It is being content in all things. Philippians 4:11-13 says:
11Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Satan is the biggest robber of contentment. He gets the children of God to get their eyes off the Lord onto the world in what others have or see blessings of others. Overcoming discontent is a matter of relying on God; trusting him.
One has to come to the place of contentment in all things. It is learning to give praise in all things even in trials. 1 Peter 1:3-21 is a great scripture of promise.
You see when you can turn your discontentment to praise to him, something changes in the brain. It is a choice but it is warfare you are doing against the enemy by praising the Lord.
In Conclusion: All these steps will bring up the seretonin levels.

Did you Know!
1 in 3 people will suffer from some form of insomnia during their lifetime.
Women are twice as likely as men to suffer from insomnia
Insomnia doesn’t just affect young to middle-aged adults, but also children, teens and the elderly.
Between 40% and 60% of people over 60 suffer from insomnia
Research shows that insomnia plays a significant role in many attempted suicides
What is Insomnia!
Insomnia is a common sleep problem that can affect your quality of life. People with insomnia have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. They may wake up during the night or wake up too early the next morning.
This can be a short-term problem or a long-term problem but the issue is it affects performance on the job or your health.
Long-term affects of insomnia
Sleepiness increases the risk for motor vehicle accidents. Studies indicate that drowsy driving is as risky as drunk driving
Insomnia wrecks your mood. 40% of psychiatric mood disorders are preceded by insomnia, and insomnia sets in at the same time as another 20% of mood disorders
Insomnia makes you sick. A statistical analysis of insomnia’s relationship to absences from work caused by illness clearly found that there is a connection: insomnia is followed by periods of increased absenteeism from illness and disease.
Chronic insomniacs have a significantly higher risk of certain medical conditions such as heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes and depression. Some of these can prove fatal.
People with insomnia have an above average chance of falling victim to addictions such as alcoholism, drug abuse and smoking.
Causes of Insomnia
There are many possible factors causing insomnia. These can be psychological, physical or spiritual.
The spiritual root to insomnia is some type of stress such as worry about tomorrow, anxiety and stress at the job, over children or even marriage. It could be traumatic events in the past, opening the door to stress.
Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine but a broken spirit drieth up the bones” The immune system is in the bone.
Some psychological causes of insomnia include the following:
Anxiety – this is where the person feels tension, apprehension, and feelings of helplessness, worry, fear, and uncertainty. This can be caused by a number of factors, including work, money worries, relationship issues, and so forth.
Stress – if a person is feeling stressed, it can affect their ability to sleep.
Depression – is characterised by feelings of sadness, despair, and discouragement.
Again rooted in fear.
Some physical causes of insomnia may include:
Hormonal changes in women – these include premenstrual syndrome, menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause.
Decreased melatonin levels drop – melatonin is a hormone that helps to control sleep, and levels of this hormone decrease as a person ages. Medical conditions – can interfere with a person’s ability to sleep. Such conditions can include allergies, arthritis, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, and Parkinson’s disease.
Pain – which results from injury or an illness can often interfere with a person’s sleeping patterns.
Genetics – insomnia can sometimes run in families, although research has yet to determine why.
Heartburn – the back up of stomach contents into the esophagus can wake a person several times during the night. During the night, lying down and less frequent swallowing can cause more reflux. Try elevating your head to help ease the problem.
Other sleep disorders – such as sleep apnea and periodic arm and leg movements during sleep can make it difficult to gain restful sleep.
Again, most of these issues are rooted in fear.
How can stress cause insomnia?
Worry and fear exhaust the power God gives us to face every day problems and to accomplish responsibilities. These are sinful wastes.
1. Fret not—He loves you (John 13:1)
2. Faint not—He holds you (Psalm 139:10)
3. Fear not—He keeps you (Psalm 121:5)
Fear As a Spiritual Root of Disease
Fear and worry are sin. Fear is a barrier to the promises of God. The scientific community is aware of how our emotions effect our bodies. The limbic system is where our protective emotions originate including fear. The process of creating fear takes place unconsciously in the brain.
Part of your brain controls the physical response o fear and sends a signal directly to the amygdala which stimulates the hypothalamus to produce corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) that triggers the pituitary gland’s discharge of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), which stimulates the adrenal gland to secrete cortisol.
Cortisol in the bloodstream causes an increase in glucose production, providing the necessary fuel for the brain and muscles to deal with stress.
My Story of recovery from insomnia
I am a recovered insomniac. In addition to generally sleeping poorly since the time of birth, my insomnia came on from Traumatic events in the wound and outside the would which set me up for fight to flight responses. I suffered through three major episodes of insomnia as an adult. I had traumatic memories, I had no memory up, come to the surface which brought in more fear and stress especially anxiety attacks. In 2000 I felt as though I nearly died from insomnia so severe that I slept as little as an hour a night for days at a time, over a period of many months. I was basically immune to pharmaceutical sleep aids that could have put a horse in a coma, and I had given every imaginable popular remedy a fair try. I certainly believed that I had “tried everything.”
Fortunately, I hadn’t actually tried everything.
I didn’t try God’s way. I had to learn how to deal with stress in my life. Here are the steps I took:
I had to recognize that stress and anxiety was a spirit of fear working in my so I had to recognize it and take responsibility – 1 John 4:18 says “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” Job 15:21 Ps 73:19 88:15,16 119:120 Jas 2:19
That means I had to repent and renounce the spirit of fear to God because fear is the opposite of faith. It is sin!
I had to cast out the spirit of fear and learn to cast my cares to the Lord 1 Peter 5:7.
I had to see he cared for me and start trusting him.
Then praise him and thank him for delivering me.
Sometimes we need that extra help and I had to go through deliverance to get free and did. If you struggle with insomnia and need help, check out our iSchool at http://www.ischool.journey2wholeness.org
My heart is to set the captives free from the snares of the enemy!
My Story!
At age five (5) I was diagnosed with Mitro Valve Prolapse. First, let me tell you how mine developed.
My dad had a plane and we were flying from Dallas to Missouri to see my grandparents at Thanksgiving. At that time, Arkansas was battling forest fires and because of the heat rising, it caused the plane to be very bumpy and me being young and not understanding the situation, was terrified in horror for many hours. By the time we got to Missouri, I was very sick.
When we got back to Dallas, my mom could not put any clothes on me without me gagging. I could not stand anything on my chest. She decided to take me to the doctor and they did an eletro cardiogram on me which indicate my heart in stress.
Again extreme stress or fear can does a number on the heart. That is how I developed Mitro Valve Prolapse which is a damaging of the valve in the heart causing it to skip. When it skips, it is like the heart wants to jump out of your chest and it even throws off your breathing. It is when I’m under stress or worry that my heart will act up.
Since then, through learning about God’s truth, I can cast my cares to him and stop living in stress but trusting God in all situations. 1 Peter 5:7.
